3 Point Lighitng Technique For Interior Shot

3 point lighting technique can be useful for your interior shot. And "Yes", of course we can use 3 point lighting technique for interior shot too. Let's see the diagram below :

As you see on my diagram, I use Environment light as my key light, all my flash function as a "fill light only",  its just enough to lighten the dark part of the image. As result your image will have a better in overall exposure and gain more dynamic range.

The best way to shoot in "Mixed Light" condition, start always with Environment light, set your shutter speed on it,  and then add "accent lighting" where its necessary.

Perhaps you ask me where is the "back light"? Of course we can not use "back light" terminology here, but actually even "back light" in studio work function also as a "fill light." Its just a name determine by where you place the light, so...no big deal folks #bigsmilegrababeerandrelax

But you need to keep this in mind:

• Aperture is your control over the Flash Exposure.
• Shutter speed is your control over the Environment Exposure.
• ISO will help you to keep the balance between the Environment Exposure and the Flash Exposure.

Another important things to remember:

1. Set your camera on Tripod.
2. Use wide lenses. "Important Note"; avoid lenses with fish eye effect distortions.
3. Set your focus by using the Auto focus on your camera, once the camera already lock on focus, switch back your Auto focus to Manual on your camera body, so the camera will stay in focus as already determined before.
4. Use cable release or remote control in order to keep your camera steady.
5. If you do not have cable release or remote control then use timer mode on your camera.
6. Use Radio Trigger set to control your "fill light" and your "back light."

Recommend Lenses for interior shot : range 11mm up to 17mm max.
Recommend radio trigger set Pixel King pro for Canon and for Nikon  
You can try also the universal Godox RT-04 433MHZ 4 Channel Wireless Studio Strobe Flashlight Trigger
