- The Key Light is your main light used on your subject.
- The Fill Light is to create fill in the shadows that created by the key light, so we might have a control on the darkness side of the image
- The Back Light is to separate the subject from the background.

Again there are many ways to arrange your 3 point lighting technique, all depending on the needs and the taste, what kind effect you want and not to forget what you have as accessories for your lighting.
